About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Consultant to join our team at Aon. As a key member of our Investment Consulting Practice, you will be responsible for delivering investment consulting material and advice to institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consulting support services and technical support on a range of advisory and OCIO Investment clients and accounts;
  • Anticipate client issues, needs or concerns and proactively develop solutions to meet those needs in partnership with the Account Executive/lead Consultants;
  • Review client accounts and relationships and recommend ways to improve the value Aon brings to the client, based on a deep understanding of the client's business and insight into industry and investment trends;
  • Raise the profile of Aon;
  • Contribute to the development of the go-to-market strategy for the Investment Consulting Practice;
  • Assist in preparing and giving effective presentations to clients or prospects, as part of a team or individually;
  • Identify gaps between client needs and existing Aon Investment Consulting services; propose and develop service enhancements, adding to Aon's product/service portfolio and intellectual capital;
  • Work with other professional advisers, both internally and externally (i.e., record keepers, investment managers, etc.) on institutional investment funds across Canada;
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and support to junior Investment Consulting colleagues as they serve their clients, ensuring high standards of service.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in financial/investment consulting. You will have a thorough understanding of institutional investment and investment industry insight and processes. Ideally, you will have gained this experience from direct experience in a manager research, fund management, investment consulting or in a plan sponsor role.

You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. You will be a strong communicator with excellent client-facing skills and the ability to clearly articulate ideas and information. You will also have a strong analytical skillset with the ability to develop solutions for clients/business issues.
