Senior Investment Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Consultant to join our team at Aon Hewitt. As a key member of our Investment Consulting Practice, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to our clients on a range of investment-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver investment consulting services to institutional clients, including pension and benefit plans, insurance funds, and other special purpose funds.
  • Anticipate client needs and develop solutions to meet those needs in partnership with the Account Executive/lead Consultants.
  • Review client accounts and relationships to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend ways to enhance the value Aon brings to the client.
  • Contribute to the development of the go-to-market strategy for the Investment Consulting Practice.
  • Identify gaps between client needs and existing Aon Investment Consulting services and propose service enhancements.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in a financial/investment consulting environment.
  • Thorough understanding of institutional investment and investment industry insight and processes.
  • Understanding of investment concepts and the financial markets.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian pension fund market.
  • Ability to support a book of business and manage an extensive portfolio of diverse Institutional clients.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical decision-making, and developing solutions for clients/business issues.
  • Entrepreneurial and creative spirit by recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to help with the growth and expansion of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently on various projects and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Technical expertise and the proven ability to remain current concerning investment industry trends, activity in the market, provincial and federal legislative policies and changes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of business applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
