FirstService Residential is a leading provider of property management services, and we're seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of our residential communities across the United States and Canada.

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong background in accounting and financial systems. As a Financial Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up and onboarding new properties, executing processes to facilitate the pre-authorized collection process, and acting as the point person with utility providers. You will also be responsible for running automations to support the accounting teams and streamlining processes to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and onboard new properties, including creating property profiles and setting up unit/owner information in accounting systems.
  • Execute processes and conduct controls to facilitate the pre-authorized collection process to collect fees from condo owners.
  • Act as the point person with utility providers, coordinating with developers and previous management companies to retrieve documentation required for utility bills.
  • Run automations to support the accounting teams and streamline processes to improve efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Lead.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree from a post-secondary education institution (preferred).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Products, specifically Excel.
  • Adept at using technology to increase efficiency.
  • Data entry and customer service experience is an asset.
