About the Role
The IT Admin - FST is a key member of the Paper Excellence team, responsible for providing technical support and maintenance of computer systems and networks in a large enterprise environment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for users, responding to requests for assistance with IT issues and problems.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and related infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, backups, and hardware repairs.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement new technologies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Lead and manage small-scale technology projects, including hardware deployments and software implementations.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of computer systems, networks, and related technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- 5 years' experience in a related technical field, with a strong understanding of IT networking concepts, asset management, and software licensing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of physical network components, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and cabling management.
- Experience with system monitoring, assessment, and reporting tools.
- Proficiency with common operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Office 365.
- 5 years' work experience in a related technology field, with a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
