Job Title: Director, Disability Management Quality And Training

At NAFSA, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our International Student Development team. As the Director, Disability Management Quality And Training, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and programs that support the full participation and integration of international students at UBC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to support unit goals and build a collaborative, respectful, and effective team.
  • Provide evidence-based leadership in the innovative design and delivery of ISD services and programs, addressing the changing needs and diversity of the campus.
  • Lead the strategic introduction and development of new programs and procedures supporting the full engagement of international students.
  • Develop and manage risk assessment and mitigation, and lead the development of Emergency Response Protocols.
  • Lead and facilitate the development of partnerships with Admissions and Recruiting, the International Student Initiative, Faculties and academic advising offices, and other key programs across UBC.
  • Provide leadership to the ISD Team, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and structural planning and optimization.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of marketing strategies to increase awareness of the range of services and programs available.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as education, international relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in international student development or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic plans and programs that support international student success.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with staff, students, and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
