Job Title: Director of International Student Development

NAFSA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of International Student Development to lead our team in providing exceptional support to international students at the University of British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to support the department's vision, goals, and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the ISD team, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and structural planning.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of marketing strategies to increase awareness of ISD services and programs.
  • Collaborate with other leaders in Student Affairs to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Participate in relevant professional associations to stay up-to-date on best practices and trends in international student development.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in leading international student development teams and programs.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of best practices and trends in international student development.
