Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Financial Services team at Nipissing University. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate billing and collection of tuition fees, ancillary fees, and residence fees for all students, as well as sponsorship billing and payment processing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate billing and collection of tuition fees, ancillary fees, and residence fees for all students
  • Sponsorship billing and payment processing
  • Processing payments and collection of overdue balances
  • Providing customer service and support to students and stakeholders
  • Analyzing and investigating accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Preparing invoices and reconciliations
  • Collaborating with the Manager, Financial Aid and Student Financial Services to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements:
  • Three-year accounting diploma from a recognized college
  • Minimum of three to four years of related work experience in a computerized accounting environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
