We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Guidewire Developer to join our Software Engineering Group at Aviva. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with globally distributed teams to design, develop, test, and implement solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review software requirements efficiently and effectively
  • Design and develop architectural diagrams and design documents
  • Design screens, business rules, and workflow changes to meet business needs
  • Write programs, configure, package, and deploy software to ensure seamless integration
  • Establish and follow coding standards to ensure high-quality code
  • Debug and unit test code to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Perform peer code reviews to ensure best practices
  • Mentor junior resources to develop their skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience in Guidewire Application Development
  • Expertise in GOSU Language, configuration, and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators
  • Experience integrating Guidewire PC/BC/CC/CM systems with downstream systems
  • Agile software development experience, including use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Domain knowledge on Property & Casualty Insurance
