Position Overview

Are you a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist seeking to leverage your expertise in a supportive and innovative environment? This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills within our esteemed Nuclear Medicine department.

Key Responsibilities

In alignment with the organization's core values, this position is responsible for executing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with established departmental protocols. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients for examinations and operating nuclear medicine equipment.
  • Monitoring patients throughout procedures and managing the preparation, dispensing, and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Conducting routine quality control tests on imaging equipment and utilizing appropriate detection devices to monitor the area.
  • Ensuring the safe disposal of radioactive materials and contaminated items in compliance with established guidelines.

Work Schedule

This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with shifts from 07:00 to 15:00 or 08:00 to 16:00.

Compensation

The competitive wage for this position is $45.81 per hour.

Qualifications

  1. Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program accredited by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  2. Current certification with CAMRT and eligibility for membership with CAMRT and CAMRT-BC.
