Kitchen Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Smash Kitchen and Bar. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and leading a team of cooks and kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Team Management
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
- Prepare and submit reports to management
- Establish work schedules and delegate tasks to kitchen staff
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees
- Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including housing, transportation, and other essential services
- Support social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees, including access to community resources, language training, and skills training
- Support for Indigenous People
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
- Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers

- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
