Primary Care Physician for Underserved Populations

The Victoria Primary Care Network is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Family Practitioner to join our team in providing primary care services to underserved populations in Downtown Urban Greater Victoria.
We are looking for a physician who can work collaboratively with our team, including Mental Health Workers and Pharmacists, to provide full-service primary care for patients coming from the federal newcomers to Canada program. The practice will be made up of children, adolescents, and adults, including immigrants and refugees from Syria, Africa, Greece, Lebanon, and Egypt.
The ideal candidate will have a shared philosophy of trauma-informed, culturally-safe care and be interested in innovation in primary care. We are seeking a physician who can work part-time or share a position with other healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to underserved populations
- Work collaboratively with our team to provide full-service primary care
- Develop and maintain a patient-centered approach to care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Family Medicine Specialist or General Practitioner with a strong interest in primary care
- Experience working with underserved populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
