**Job Opportunity at Island Health**
The Island Health organization is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Primary Care Physician to join our team in providing primary care services to underserved populations.
**About the Role**
We are looking for a Family Medicine Specialist who can work collaboratively with our team, including Nursing, Nurse Practitioners, and Allied Health Professionals, to provide full-service primary care to patients coming from the federal newcomers to Canada program.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide primary care services to patients, including federally-mandated Health Assessments
- Work collaboratively with the Island Health Refugee/Newcomer NP at the Health Care on Yates Clinic
- Develop and implement trauma-informed, culturally-safe care practices
- Participate in innovation in primary care and work part-time/shared position
**Requirements**
- Dedicated, hard-working, and collaborative physician
- Ability to work as a team with Nursing, Nurse Practitioners, and Allied Health Professionals
- Shared philosophy of trauma-informed, culturally-safe care essential
