Position Overview

Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a dedicated Industrial Painter to join our skilled workforce. This role is essential in ensuring that our metal products meet the highest standards of quality and finish.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years in a similar role or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in an environment that may be:

  • Dusty
  • Noisy
  • Characterized by various odours
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Interpret and execute blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of painting equipment.
  • Apply paint to small components and perform touch-ups using brushes.
  • Select suitable paints or prepare custom paint mixtures.
  • Operate equipment for spraying or coating surfaces.
Product Focus

This position primarily involves working with:

  • General metal products
Surface Preparation Techniques

Preparation methods include:

  • Masking
  • Water blasting
Paints and Coatings

The role requires familiarity with:

  • Catalyzed or polymerized paints
Application Techniques

Application methods utilized will include:

  • Electrostatic methods
  • Hand-held spray guns
Physical Requirements

The job demands:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
