Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy metalworking machines, including presses and forging machines, to shape and form metal stock into parts or products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and specifications
  • Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
  • Document work completed
  • Investigate problems to fix or make minor repairs
  • Lay out, set up, and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines
  • Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Ability to work in a dusty and noisy environment
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Steel-toed safety boots
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a metal product fabrication industry environment, with a focus on metal forming and shaping operations. The work site environment is dusty and noisy, and the candidate must be able to work in a physically demanding environment.

Language and Hours

The work language is English, and the candidate must be able to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
