Position Overview

Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a dedicated Industrial Painter to join our skilled workforce. This role involves the application of coatings to various metal products, ensuring high-quality finishes and durability.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

The position is set in a challenging environment characterized by:

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
  • Cleaning and maintaining painting equipment.
  • Applying paint to small items and performing touch-ups using brushes.
  • Selecting and mixing appropriate paints.
  • Operating equipment for spraying or coating surfaces.
Product and Techniques

The role involves working with:

  • Type of Product: General metal products.
  • Surface Preparation Methods: Techniques such as masking and water blasting.
  • Types of Paints or Coatings: Use of catalyzed or polymerized paints.
  • Application Methods: Utilizing electrostatic methods and hand-held spray guns.
Physical Requirements

The job demands:

  • Attention to detail and precision.
  • A combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Capability to handle heavy loads.
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
Weight Handling

Ability to lift and handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
