Position Overview

Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a dedicated Industrial Painter to join our skilled workforce. This role involves applying coatings to various metal products while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years in a similar role or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in conditions that may include:

  • Dusty environments
  • Noisy surroundings
  • Exposure to various odours
Key Responsibilities

As an Industrial Painter, your tasks will include:

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
  • Cleaning and servicing painting equipment.
  • Applying paint to small components and performing touch-ups with brushes.
  • Selecting and mixing appropriate paint materials.
  • Operating equipment for spraying or coating surfaces.
Product and Surface Preparation

You will work with:

  • Products: General metal items.
  • Preparation Methods: Techniques such as masking and water blasting.
Coating Techniques

The role involves the use of:

  • Types of Paints: Catalyzed or polymerized coatings.
  • Application Methods: Electrostatic techniques and hand-held spray guns.
Physical Requirements

The position demands:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Capability to handle heavy loads.
  • Manual dexterity for intricate tasks.

Weight Handling

The role requires the ability to lift weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
