We are seeking individuals who can contribute their unique skills and character to a diverse team. You will collaborate with a dedicated group committed to providing exceptional service to our members while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Our aim is to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge during your initial year as a Pension Benefits Associate (PBA) to enable you to work autonomously and meet quality benchmarks, ultimately progressing to a permanent role as a Pension Benefits Specialist.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Manager of Member Experience - Pensioner Experience.

Key Responsibilities

Throughout your associate year, you will engage actively, provide insights, and demonstrate your skills to Senior PB Specialists and Trainers during independent learning sessions, personalized working interactions, and virtual training classes.

  • Deliver customer service by addressing inquiries (via phone, email, web, and written communication), initially under the guidance of a Team Coordinator and subsequently independently, for plan members, pensioners, survivors, other beneficiaries, and third parties.
  • Administer pension benefits in compliance with plan terms and relevant legislation.
  • Examine client files, evaluate eligible benefit scenarios, offer guidance, provide web support, and conduct benefit calculations during interactions.
  • Address member inquiries via email and mail concerning benefit-related questions, general pension inquiries, requests for web assistance, and updates to personal information.
  • Execute complex benefit calculations, which may require research to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct in-person meetings with clients for one-on-one consultations.
  • Interpret and assess client needs, eligibility criteria, critical issues, reporting obligations, and write-offs.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, listening, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Dependability, flexibility, tact, and diplomacy are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with online applications.
  • A relevant university degree and/or experience in client service is required.
