Job Summary

This position plays a crucial role in supporting the retail and wholesale sales teams at Northwestel by designing and implementing last-mile access infrastructure solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and engineering support to sales, marketing, and carrier services teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and present quotes for customer requests, including analysis of alternatives, costing, design, and strategic recommendations.
  • Consult with account executives and clients to prepare technical and business needs of client account plans and major proposals.
  • Coordinate the design and implementation of accepted client projects.
  • Provide feedback to product managers on product evolution and new product requirements.
  • Liaise with equipment suppliers, systems architects, and telecommunication consultants to assess technical compatibility and determine availability of equipment.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology or Telecommunications.
  • Minimum three years' experience in wireline access or voice applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience with IP Networking, radio/satellite, and Workplace Health & Safety Committees is an asset.
