About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Steward to join our team at Fairmont Royal York. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our hotel's food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all stewarding tasks as assigned and maintain the highest level of service and quality in our hotel's food and beverage operations.
  • Operate, clean, and perform general maintenance on all machinery and heavy-duty equipment within the department.
  • Set up and organize the dish room areas and ensure they are free from hazards and debris.
  • Perform general dishwashing and cleaning duties.
  • Prepare coffee for banquets when required.
  • Follow all health and safety rules and regulations as outlined by the department and the hotel.
  • Ensure that all ECOSURE standards and processes are completed on a daily basis in your area of the department.
  • Uphold the highest standards of service and quality in our hotel's food and beverage operations.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor.
Requirements
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must have an understanding of written and spoken English.
  • Must be flexible with shift work hours.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Must be able to perform physically under pressure.
  • Must be able to handle a hot working environment.
  • Must be able to operate, lift, push, and pull heavy equipment.
