Job Title: Steward (Full-Time)

At Fairmont Royal York, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Steward to join our team. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete all stewarding tasks as assigned and maintain the highest level of cleanliness and organization in the dining areas.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain all machinery and equipment in the department, including dishwashing machines and soaking tanks.
  • Set up and organize the dish room areas and ensure they are free from hazards and debris.
  • Perform general dishwashing and cleaning duties, including preparing coffee for banquets when required.
  • Follow all health and safety rules and regulations, including ECOSURE standards and processes.
  • Uphold the highest standards of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Must have an understanding of written and spoken English.
  • Must be flexible with shift work hours.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Must be able to perform physically under pressure and handle a hot working environment.
  • Must be able to operate, lift, push, and pull heavy equipment.
