Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Steward to join our team at Fairmont Royal York. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all stewarding tasks as assigned and maintain the highest level of cleanliness and organization in the hotel and kitchen.
  • Operate and maintain all machinery and heavy-duty equipment within the department, including the dishwashing machine and soaking tanks.
  • Set up and organize the dish room areas and ensure they are free from hazards and debris.
  • Perform general dishwashing and cleaning duties, including preparing coffee for banquets when required.
  • Follow all health and safety rules and regulations as outlined by the department and the hotel.
  • Ensure that all ECOSURE standards and processes are completed on a daily basis in your area of the department.
  • Uphold the highest standards of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor.
Requirements
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Must have an understanding of written and spoken English.
  • Must be flexible with shift work hours.
  • Prior experience and a positive attitude are assets.
  • Must be able to perform physically under pressure and handle a hot working environment.
  • Must be able to operate lift, push, and pull heavy equipment.
