Job Summary:

WJS Canada is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health concerns in a supported living home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as personal care and aids to daily living (ADLs)
  • Support individuals in developing and achieving personal goals
  • Provide immediate support in crisis situations
  • Drive individuals to medical appointments, recreational activities, and community events
  • Document notes and observations regarding the client using a computer program
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and program-specific policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health concerns
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to work a 12-hour day shift, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
