Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tilesetter to join our team at Silverspine Contracting Inc.. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tile installation and demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience in tile setting is essential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be tiled.
  • Mix, apply, and spread various adhesives such as mortar, cement, or glue using hand trowels.
  • Set tiles in position and apply pressure to ensure proper adhesion.
  • Align and straighten tiles for a professional finish.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings utilizing both hand and power cutting tools.
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove any excess material.
  • Replace cracked or damaged tiles as necessary.
  • Install tile strips with precision.
Work Environment
  • This position is physically demanding and requires bending, crouching, and kneeling.
