About the Job

Pooni Tiles Inc. is seeking a skilled Tile Installation Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation, ensuring accurate measurements and markings.
  • Mix, apply, and spread adhesives using hand trowels, guaranteeing a strong bond between tiles and surfaces.
  • Design and plan tile layouts, taking into account architectural features and aesthetic appeal.
  • Install tiles with precision, ensuring straight lines, even spacing, and a seamless finish.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings, utilizing hand and power tools.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, maintaining the overall appearance of the installation.
  • Supervise other workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create visually striking designs, working closely with clients to meet their creative vision.
  • Evaluate job requirements and estimate materials needed, ensuring efficient project execution and cost management.
  • Install tile strips and border tiles, adding the final touches to each project.
Requirements and Qualifications

  • A strong background in tile installation, preferably with experience in residential and commercial projects.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, lift heavy materials, and work at heights.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and material usage.
