Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Operations Manager to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing effective operational support and management of sales compliance and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Support: Provide operational support to the branch and/or region to achieve business objectives.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Management: Manage sales compliance and regulatory requirements to ensure adherence to internal and external regulations.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Foster a culture aligned to BMO's purpose, values, and strategy, and lead a team of operational staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Business Development: Provide input to the market business development plan and support the solution and implementation of addressing client concerns and escalations.
  • Risk Management: Perform risk assessments and monitoring to ensure there are no breaches in compliance, and make recommendations to management about risk and regulatory requirements.
  • Business Process Improvement: Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making, and support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure alignment between stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards to track performance and address any issues.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: In-depth operational experience, supervisory/leadership experience, in-depth experience with financial planning products and related technologies, and deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
