We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at Dr. Steven Schendel Inc. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmologists in their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Administer eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists
- Conduct tests using specialized equipment, instruct patients on test procedures, and record results
- Assist healthcare professionals in patient assessments and develop information materials for patients
- Follow through on treatment programs with patients and maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Schedule and confirm appointments, manage routine office functions, and take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an ophthalmic or optical laboratory setting
- A supportive and dynamic work environment
