Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to supporting families with young children. As a Families First Home Visitor, you will work closely with families to provide guidance and support in areas such as parenting, child development, and family relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with families to provide support and guidance in areas such as parenting, child development, and family relationships.
  • Conduct home visits to assess family needs and develop individualized plans to support family goals.
  • Provide education and support to families on topics such as child development, parenting, and family relationships.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as public health nurses and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to family support.
  • Participate in regular reflective supervision to ensure best practices and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with families with young children, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and coordination.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to use software applications such as Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, with a regular schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of families.
