Job Title: Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to join our team at Menzies Roofing Corporation. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing payroll cheques, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Payroll Administration: Prepare and process payroll cheques, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including filing tax returns and reconciling accounts.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Language: English.
