Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine radiological procedures on inpatients and outpatients, and assisting radiologists and other physicians with Central Line Placements, Fluoroscopy, and OR procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine radiological procedures on inpatients and outpatients, including mobile imaging.
  • Assist radiologists and other physicians with Central Line Placements, Fluoroscopy, and OR procedures.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including X-ray machines and fluoroscopy units.
  • Develop and process radiographic images, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized school of Medical Imaging Technology.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous related experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and potentially hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to lift and move patients, as well as operate heavy equipment.
