About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Mechanics Group Leader to join our team at Quest-Tech Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise
    • Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
    • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical and mechanical equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems, including electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
    • Use precision machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to industry standards.
    • Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors to optimize equipment performance and extend lifespan.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement maintenance strategies that minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Leadership and Communication
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management, peers, and external partners, to ensure seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
    • Develop and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory management, and quality control metrics.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Demonstrate a strong commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and quality in all aspects of work.
    • Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

    Requirements
    • 3+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a focus on leadership and technical expertise.
    • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as electrical or mechanical engineering.
    • Strong understanding of industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on efficiency, productivity, and quality.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
