Job Summary

The NL Health Services is seeking a skilled Physician - Fee For Service Specialist to join our team at the Dr. Y.K. Jeon Health Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients, including routine check-ups, health assessments, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and other physicians, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure clear understanding and coordination of care.

Requirements

  • Eligible for registration and licensure as a General Practitioner with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Satisfy credentialing requirements of Central Health.
  • Work experience is an asset.
  • A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
  • A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
  • Earned Medical Degree.

Working Conditions

  • 75 hours bi-weekly plus on-call obligations.
  • Fee-For-Service (as per the Memorandum of Agreement and Dept of Health MCP Billings).
  • No benefits.
