Job Title: Obstetrician/Gynecologist - Locum Position
Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Obstetrician/Gynecologist to provide temporary full-time services at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre in Gander. The successful candidate will join a team of physicians and nurses to provide a range of obstetrics and gynecology services, including inpatient consultations, emergency and on-call services, and outpatient clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide the full scope of obstetrics and gynecology services, including inpatient consultations, emergency and on-call services, and outpatient clinics.
- Work collaboratively with a team of physicians and nurses to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in on-call commitments, including weekends and holidays, as part of a shared rotation.
- Contribute to a team-based, client-focused environment that prioritizes employee and patient safety.
Requirements:
- Eligibility for registration and licensure as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Satisfaction of the credentialing requirements of Central Health's Discipline of Obstetrics/Gynecology.
- A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance.
- A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
Working Conditions: 75 hours bi-weekly, plus on-call obligations. Salaried locum rate $1335 per day for 56 days, then $1258.75 per day or Fee-for-Service (as per the Memorandum of Agreement and Department of Health MCP Billing).
