About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatrician to join our team at Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services - Central Zone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Treat Diseases: Diagnose and treat various diseases and physiological disorders in infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Prescribe Medication and Treatment: Prescribe medication and treatment plans for patients, taking into account their medical history and current health status.
  • Refer Patients for Surgery: Refer patients to specialists or surgeons when necessary, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
  • Order Laboratory Tests and Diagnostic Procedures: Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Consult with Other Physicians: Act as consultants to other physicians, providing expert advice and guidance on pediatric care.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry, with experience in pediatric care an asset.
  • Licensure and Certifications: Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities, with any relevant certifications or memberships.
  • Language and Communication: Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
