Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates student access and success by providing guidance on various aspects of Enrollment Services, such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Tuition & Fees, Registration, Transfer Credits, Scheduling, and Graduation;
- Manages specialized student record services, including evaluating qualifications of prospective students, making admission determinations, and maintaining accurate records in the Student Information System (SIS);
- Offers comprehensive advice on financial assistance programs and policies to students, families, and other stakeholders;
- Implements academic and financial policies by processing documentation related to registration, fee payments, course adjustments, withdrawals, refunds, and grades;
- Conducts credential evaluations to ensure eligibility for academic progression and graduation;
- Reviews and assesses academic transcripts to determine admission eligibility;
- Assists in coordinating services that facilitate the transition of students from registration to graduation for both domestic and international populations;
- Monitors student progress in programs based on academic standing policies and identifies trends in enrollment;
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Position Summary:
This role is a temporary, full-time support staff position. The Enrollment Services Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, community organizations, and the public regarding all Enrollment Service functions. The incumbent plays a crucial role in ensuring students have access to post-secondary education and promotes their success through to graduation. Responsibilities include providing direct support on complex admission, financial aid, registration, and audit matters while liaising with various departments on behalf of students.
Qualifications:
- A three-year post-secondary diploma in Business Administration or Community/Social Services is required;
- A minimum of three years of experience in a role advising clients on complex information, preferably within an educational context;
- Experience in Financial Aid is preferred;
- Proficiency with Colleague, WebAdvisor, myLambton, or similar systems is essential;
- Strong active listening skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy;
- Customer service-oriented with a commitment to assisting students with their enrollment needs;
- A collaborative team player who takes accountability for delivering on expectations and strives for excellence;
- Comfortable in a digital environment and committed to leveraging technology to enhance the student experience;
- Values diversity of thought and respects individual uniqueness;
- Ability to identify, research, and resolve discrepancies;
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, email, and complex financial/student database systems;

- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy;
