About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to join our Institutional Client Solutions team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering compliance projects and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of institutional client investment policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Project Management: Work closely with institutional teams to implement institutional client investment policies into internal systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Asset Class and Institutional Investment Management Knowledge: Collaborate with senior portfolio managers, client relationship managers, and institutional clients to examine, review, confirm, and input investment constraints in CIBC systems.
  • Project Management and Problem-Solving Skills: Collaborate with various stakeholders from internal and external teams to implement compliance projects, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Investment Management Proposals: Contribute to the client solutioning process, ensuring customized RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs are compliant with regulatory requirements, under the supervision of a Senior Associate.
  • Database Content Maintenance: Ensure investment strategy content is compliant across CIBC AM internal databases and global investment management databases, under the supervision of a Senior Associate.
  • Client Deliverables: Responsible for completing client deliverables efficiently, under the supervision of a Senior Associate.
  • Continuous Improvement Spirit: Collaborate with institutional teams on ad-hoc continuous improvement projects, driving process enhancements and best practices.
Requirements
  • Client Focus: Demonstrate a strong understanding of client needs and expectations.
  • Investment Knowledge: Possess a good knowledge of traditional and alternative investment solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including institutional teams, senior portfolio managers, and client relationship managers.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in technical skills relevant to the role, including database management and compliance software.
  • Knowledge Commitment: Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or a related field.
