Your Role:

We are in search of dedicated primary care nurse practitioners, both full-time and part-time. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive and preventive healthcare, perform assessments, manage illnesses, request laboratory tests, and prescribe medications for patients of all ages. Your responsibilities will encompass all facets of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and consultations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough age-appropriate assessments for patients with complex health conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests tailored to the specific needs of patients.
  • Prescribe suitable pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
  • Implement strategies to assist patients in achieving or maintaining physiological stability.
  • Support surgical care in compliance with relevant regulations and monitor intervention outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and make necessary referrals.
  • Provide educational resources to facilitate informed decision-making for patients and their families.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a master's degree program.
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Active membership with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Professional Liability Insurance coverage.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Nurse Practitioner capacity is preferred, though new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Current certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Strong skills in empathy, communication, critical thinking, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to provide medical guidance to patients and their families.
  • Commitment to evidence-based medical practices.
  • Advocacy for patient care and dedication to teamwork.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada is required.
