Position Overview:

We are in search of full or part-time primary care nurse practitioners. Your responsibilities will include delivering general and preventive care, performing health assessments, diagnosing conditions, ordering laboratory tests, and prescribing medications for patients of all ages. You will play a vital role in patient care, encompassing diagnosis, treatment, and consultation. Compensation is competitive and based on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough history and physical examinations for patients with complex health issues.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests tailored to the patient's specific needs.
  • Prescribe appropriate treatments, both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic.
  • Implement interventions to help patients achieve or maintain physiological stability.
  • Assist in providing surgical care in compliance with regulations, monitoring the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and make necessary referrals.
  • Provide educational resources to facilitate decision-making for staff, patients, and families.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a master's program in nursing.
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Active membership with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Professional Liability Insurance.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Nurse Practitioner role is preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong skills in empathy, communication, critical thinking, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to provide sound medical advice to patients and their families.
  • Commitment to evidence-based medical practices.
  • Advocate for patient care and demonstrate a strong customer service orientation.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada is required.
