Highway Maintenance Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Operations Specialist to join our team at 407 ETR. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our highway corridor.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol and Inspection: Conduct regular patrols of the highway corridor to assess road conditions and identify areas that require maintenance or repair.
- Incident Response: Respond to and assist in the coordination of incident response and emergency situations, such as collisions, traffic control, and debris in live lanes.
- Winter Maintenance: Coordinate, inspect, and direct winter maintenance operations to ensure the safe and efficient clearing of snow and ice from the highway corridor.
- Summer Maintenance: Perform maintenance operations during the summer months, including grass cutting, fence repair, tree cutting, crash system repair, sign installation, and other related tasks.
- Documentation and Reporting: Collect and document incident data related to highway damage, and prepare reports on maintenance activities and incidents.
- Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, road maintenance, or a related field.
- Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of road repair and maintenance procedures, contract administration, and inspection; experience using computers and applications; and working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Ontario Traffic Manual (Book 7).
- Personal Qualities: Ability to work independently and with others with little supervision; demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; and ability to make decisions quickly under pressure.
- Working Conditions: Valid Class DZ driver's license; good knowledge of GTA freeways and surrounding arterial roadways; and ability to work a rotating schedule, including day and night shifts.
