Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse within the Women & Children's Health team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence. Your expertise will encompass comprehensive assessments, patient education, and collaboration with families to ensure optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients, identifying their unique needs and developing individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Educate parents and families on various aspects of pediatric health, promoting informed decision-making and self-care practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to established protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
  • BCLS certification within the last 2 years.
  • Minimum two years of pediatric nursing experience.
  • Strong medical/surgical knowledge base.
  • Completion of a recognized Breastfeeding Certificate Program.
  • Experience with patient safety and quality initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
