Position Overview
As a Registered Practical Nurse within our Medicine Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality health services to patients. You will be responsible for providing direct patient care, performing treatments and procedures, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in a variety of settings.
- Perform treatments and procedures as directed by physicians and within your scope of practice.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient conditions, document observations accurately, and communicate changes promptly to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- RPN Diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum one year of hospital nursing experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
