OPP Talent is seeking a Payroll Administrator for a distinguished organization in the healthcare sector.

Location: Downtown Montreal

Position Type: Temporary role (40 hours/week) for a maternity leave replacement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Weekly payroll processing for both Eastern and Western regions.
  • Addressing employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Calculating and inputting data for monthly bonus distributions.
  • Maintaining and updating employee records: salary adjustments, terminations, Records of Employment (ROE), benefits, etc.
  • Utilizing our payroll system (ADP WorkforceNow) to produce payroll.
  • Assisting in the management of the group insurance plan for employees nationwide.
  • Generating monthly reports for the Accounting department, including payroll journals and vacation accrual reports.
  • Managing and tracking employees on leave of absence.
  • Establishing new payroll entities as required.
  • Conducting year-end reporting and filing.
  • Occasionally supporting the Accounts Payable team with invoice entry.
  • Performing additional tasks or special projects as necessary.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Bilingual proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with ADP WorkforceNow is considered an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of three to four years of experience in a comparable role.
  • A College Diploma in Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification from the Canadian Payroll Association or Payroll Compliance Practitioner accreditation is an asset.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This is a full-time temporary position for a maternity leave replacement. Competitive compensation is offered, and comprehensive training will be provided to all new hires. Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday.
