Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Canada (CWNC). As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and testing electrical components and equipment for projects related to the nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand complex customer purchase orders, technical specifications, and quality assurance requirements to create design, procurement, qualification, and testing documents.
  • Ensure compliance with customer purchasing requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards & regulations by determining design approaches and parameters for testing and qualifying equipment and systems.
  • Facilitate factory acceptance tests, document and evaluate results of electrical and electromechanical components and systems.
  • Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and review vendor capability to support product compliance and verification.
  • Lead technical support of failure investigations and support bid responses.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the company Quality Program and Nuclear regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project objectives, including safety, quality, and customer schedule.
  • Serve as a mentor for less experienced staff and assist others in resolving complex challenges.
  • Work safely in accordance with company policy at all times.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Professional Engineering license required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of related experience, regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent organization and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office experience.
