Principal Engineer in Advanced Manufacturing

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in a tier 1 automotive manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience in capital project implementations, including collaboration with integrators.
- Involvement in new product launches from the design phase onward.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Solicit quotes for new equipment acquisitions.
- Ensure project milestones are met and communicate any delays to management.
- Set up equipment and engage in prototype builds.
- Design jigs and tools for prototype development utilizing 3D CAD software.
- Maintain up-to-date product documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan, process flow charts, instruction sheets, etc.).
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams for plant layout modifications.
- Provide training to operators on new equipment and processes post-installation.
- Analyze and address internal quality and productivity challenges.
