Senior Manufacturing Engineer

HCR Permanent Search is currently seeking a qualified Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join a prominent manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in a tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment, particularly in capital project implementations and product launches.
Key Qualifications:
- A degree in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in a tier 1 automotive setting.
- Proven experience with capital project installations, including collaboration with integrators.
- Familiarity with new product launches from the design phase onward.
Core Responsibilities:
- Solicit quotes for new equipment acquisitions.
- Monitor project milestones and communicate progress to management, especially if delays occur.
- Set up equipment and engage in prototype builds.
- Design jigs and tools for prototype development utilizing 3D CAD software.
- Ensure that product documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan, process flow charts, instruction sheets, etc.) is current.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams for plant layout modifications.
- Train operators on new equipment and processes post-installation.
- Analyze and address internal quality and productivity challenges.
