We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef Manager to join our team at Aramark. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for planning, guiding, and executing contracted services at our client sites.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise kitchen teams to ensure all staff are following established standards and procedures, taking ownership of all kitchen operations.
- Conduct weekly safety observations of food service staff to ensure a safe work environment and adherence to proper safety protocols.
- Assist in kitchen preparation as needed, ensuring timely and efficient food service delivery.
- Ensure accurate completion of logs, including HACCP, sanitizer, dish machine temperature, waste, and other critical records.
- Audit food service areas daily to maintain cleanliness and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complete monthly inventory according to guidelines and update inventory in accounting software.
- Enter staff schedules into Kronos one week in advance.
- Lead department meetings and client meetings as assigned, including the Food Forum.
- Assist with marketing open houses and develop marketing materials.
- Complete ordering for Sysco, Agropur, Weston, and Centennial as needed.
- Enter invoices into accounting software daily as needed.
- Ensure staff follow proper food handling procedures, maintaining food in a temperature safety zone.
- Collaborate with the Dietician to update weekly diet sheets and communicate changes to food service staff.
- Assist with menu development and implementation.
- Display a polite, spirit-of-service attitude towards customers and colleagues, maintaining a friendly, efficient, and responsive attitude towards clients and their customers/residents.
- Perform all work in accordance with Client, Aramark, and regulatory safety procedures and requirements, including WHMIS, OH&S, and Aramark audits.
- Act as interim manager while the Operations Manager is away or on vacation, completing all assigned duties.
- Minimum 2-year College Diploma with a Management, Hotel/Restaurant, or Dietetic specialty.
- Provincial or other vocational or professional certification or degree: Food Safe Certification an asset.
- Previous Experience Required: 2 to 3 years' experience in Management or Supervision in a Healthcare environment.
- Special skills/training needed to perform job or operate equipment: Word, Office, and Excel knowledge required.
- Strong interpersonal, analysis, and decision-making skills.
