Senior Physical Therapist

Position Overview: The Senior Physical Therapist plays a pivotal role in the physiotherapy department, overseeing and enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. This position is essential for ensuring that individuals referred to our services receive exceptional physical therapy, while also facilitating high-quality clinical education for assigned students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise the activities within the designated unit of the physical therapy service.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of patient care and clinical education.
  • Collaborate with the therapy management team to ensure effective service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • Proficiency in neuro-medicine is essential.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy is required.

Additional Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) is mandatory.

Professional Registration:

  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists (SCPT).
  • Preference will be given to members of HSAS as per the collective agreement.
