About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Guac Mexi Grill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
    • Ensure all kitchen areas, including storage and refrigeration units, are clean and well-organized.
  • Food Preparation
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as soups, salads, and snacks, to meet the demands of our menu.
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients and supplies.
  • Waste Management
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
  • General Kitchen Duties
    • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for use in food preparation.
    Requirements
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
    • Will train on the job to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform your duties effectively.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues and management.
    • Availability to work 32 to 35 hours per week.
    • Fluency in English is required for this role.
