About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Meltwich Food Co. Waterloo. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and package take-out food for customers
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
    • Take customers' orders and ensure accurate delivery
  • Food Handling and Storage
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced food service environment with heavy foot traffic
    • Physically demanding role requiring frequent standing, walking, and lifting
    • Repetitive tasks and attention to detail required
  • Personal Qualities and Suitability
    • Reliable and dependable team player
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing situations
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train on the job
  • Availability to work 35-40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
