Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at ASCENT LOGISTICS LTD. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Logistics Coordination: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our team.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
  • Administrative Tasks: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as maintain accurate driver logbooks and other documentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Skills: Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, physically demanding tasks, and repetitive tasks.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, with a focus on safe and efficient transportation practices.
Work Environment

As a Truck Driver with ASCENT LOGISTICS LTD, you will work in a fast-paced transportation environment, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will be required to work a standard 40-hour week, with opportunities for overtime as needed.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
