Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Associate to join our team at Hamilton Health Sciences. As a Clinical Support Associate, you will provide observational patient care and support Registered Nurses on modified duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to patients on Ward E3, including observational care and assistance with daily living activities.
  • Support Registered Nurses on modified duties, ensuring seamless care delivery and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in patient education and support, promoting health literacy and self-management.
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Personal Support Worker or Health Care Aide Certificate, or nursing student with successful completion of all level 2 courses at McMaster University or Mohawk College.
  • Computer familiarity or willingness to learn computer skills as required.
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and judgment appropriate for the position.
  • Ability to accept assigned or delegated functions.
  • Ability to set priorities and organize work accordingly.
  • Ability to deal with various hospital departments effectively and collaboratively.
  • Ability to lift using appropriate lifting techniques and bend, push, and pull using good body mechanics.
Working Conditions
